It is not a zed. I know the company that work from these buildings and they specialise in historic and vintage restorations and this is the template for a car they rebuilt. The wire frame is so that they can get the hand wheeled panels the correct shape.
 
Used to be church green engineering then changed name to lieter. Based in semley near shaftesbury dorset wiltshire border. The car is definitely not a zed, from memory I think it is the frame for a masarati something that is made up from timber and wire to get the shape from what was left of the old car. They then hand wheel and planish a new ali body to go on the chassis. Very skilled craftsmen that are a pleasure and honour to watch at work.
