Why should he? He hasn't asked for advice regarding the body and he's stated time and again he's not worried about it as he knows someone who can fix it. Seeing as nobody knows him personally why can't you just take that at face value?
So he's bought a car which he was hoping was rust free and it wasn't. Big deal. He won't be the last. You want him to throw it away but he wants to try and salvage it. Accept it.

That's not surprising as it only went yesterday and only he knows.

Blimey it's tedious typing all this out when one doesn't know how to use this quote feature, although as Albrecht said I really haven't a clue what's going on here.
