'71 240Z tank vent lines; big job to replace?

I'm thinking about replacing the leaking gas tank vent line and wondered how involved a project?

Has anyone done this recently on an early 240Z?

Rusty nuts and bolts will be your main enemy...

Unless you have one already, be warned that the main vent pipe for the 240Z tank is now no longer available to purchase new...
 
I assume you mean the vent at the rear of the tank. If it needs replacing you have no option these cause fuel spillage if the tank is more than half full (from experience). It's a tank out job, bit messy anf fidly getting the filler pipe on again whilst lifting the tank back (if my memory serves me well).

pain in the arse !!!!!!!!! but the tank has to come out if you want to change the vent pipe.
