Eight years of storage with little use doesn't help any Classic Car now, does it ?

Not in a field - no.

Surprising that Nissan don't keep it in good nick as it's only pupose is the show off the Nissan name........!
Over here the Nissan cars are garaged at Nissan' headquarters in their training facility and serviced in-house. They did farm out the restoration of their 240Z and Roadster to an ex-Datsun and still Nissan garage whom we helped with parts and advice - where do Nissan find their S30 parts nowadays when most of the staff weren't born when the cars were new ?

I usually help remind them what they still have on the shelf - and cover the gaps with replica parts where possible

My import 240 has its ORIGINAL genuine nissan front wings as far as we know. It was imported & painted 16 years ago & has spent most of its life in the uk in storage, only done about 5,000 miles in all that time. The only visual rust on this car is the hatch slam panel & the dog leg sections but they all go at these points, the car 40 this year.
