300ZX's in Scrappage Scheme

Saw this on Pistonheads

Some guy has taken photos recently of the cars left 'scrapped' under the 2009 scrappage scheme. Spotted a few 300ZX's among various other desirable classics.. Seems such a shame!!

If you want to see the actual list of scrappage scheme cars, you can download it here. The good news is that I can't see any S30s anywhere but there are 280 and 300s. And there are interesting other classics/future classics elsewhere in the list that at least could have been valuable as parts for enthusiasts

Absolute waste of a good resource and some nice restoration projects, but as usual the eco nuts get their way.

I agree its a huge waste of a resource and possible employment route for a government backed project. However, how could the government justify taking cars off the road to turn them into parts to save other cars or sell them as projects to put back on the road?
