Saw this on Pistonheads

Some guy has taken photos recently of the cars left 'scrapped' under the 2009 scrappage scheme. Spotted a few 300ZX's among various other desirable classics.. Seems such a shame!! :(

If anybody is interested, there's a petition to try and save them or at least parts here:

Absolute waste of a good resource and some nice restoration projects, but as usual the eco nuts get their way.

I agree its a huge waste of a resource and possible employment route for a government backed project. However, how could the government justify taking cars off the road to turn them into parts to save other cars or sell them as projects to put back on the road?

And yep, I did sign the petition!

Who are the eco nuts, and what have they got to do with the scrappage scheme?
