sorry not sure if this is in the right section??
this is my 2nd 240z,my favourite car ever, absolutley gutted but it is for sale, mortgage and 2 kids forces sale.garaged for as long as ive had it which is 12 yrs or so and done under 1000 miles since ive owned it. had a kevin irons samuri 2.8 conversion done which in itself cost over 3000 pounds with genuine 'spike' head etc...since kevin ran the car in for me i changed jobs and houses and have done about 300 miles in it....what a waste. overall the car is very clean but with rust on the suspension and drive shaft etc but the chassis is fine and the car is stunning ,all needs is a clean and the inevitable unceasing of the brakes and clutch,i have new brake pads etc here as well as stainless hoses and a new carpet set and altho the car has fibreglass bumpers i have a rear stainless, plus a spare 240z engine from my 1st car which had the' bigend ' re-done shortly before i scrapped the car due to severe rust. i paid £6500 for the car 12 yrs ago. sensible offers please. warminster. doug 07952663855

Doug, the car sounds very interesting. What would help is if you could post-up some pictures for us please.

Using the 'Classifieds' section under Z Community 'tab' on our 'homepage' would be even better.

sorry i haven't got a digital camera and im a pc numpty, would be quicker for me to paint the car and post it to you, lol. to be honest i have a picture of me doing my only track day ever which was at castle coombe 10 yrs ago and if you put a mark 1 escort behind your avatar car then it would be the spitting image of mine.

I'm only 10 miles from Warminster, I can take a good look at it if anyone wants.

Any chance of taking some pictures for the guy please Simon? Interested people will go and look but a couple of pictures to help it along would be good.

Stan, hope you are happy with the sale and it went to an enthusiast, it sounded interesting and a possible good buy.

Rob I looked at it on Friday, the body is very solid, not a hint of rust and all good panels/seems etc. Really the only thing it needed were the brakes/clutch freeing/replacing....brake lines calipers maybe, exhaust, heater hoses and a good clean. Probably one of the most solid 240's I've ever seen, nearly bought it myself...If it hadn't had a sunroof I would have bought it there and then. I have some pictures of the car, if it doesn't sell I will post them. Someone got a very good buy though.

it did go to an enthusiast, hopefully he'll show it off at a track day or something....altho i am sorry to see it go i never used the car (unlike my first rusty 240z)and a car like that needs to be driven and enjoyed and i simply hadn't the time.

Well done Stan, it must be a good move for the car and yes I hope I see it out this year. Bit like having to let a captive wild animal loose, it hurts but you know it makes sense.
