Wonder it might come from Kent but not from who you think down there as I heard that there was one from down there going to be auctioned at Goodwood
This will be a real arbiter of where the market sees ' nicely restored ' lhd cars.
However ! As I am in Grumpy Old Man mode here goes.
Not enough detail in the advert though and sloppy mis-leading sales ' puff ' tut tut
These guys take 15% + VAT of hammer price from the buyer and 10% + VAT from the seller and can't get basic facts right !
Boasting a 2.4-litre overhead-camshaft six-cylinder engine, five-speed manual (or three-speed automatic) transmission, independent suspension all round and a generous equipment level as standard, the keenly priced 240Z proved an outstanding success in the all-important North American market
Yes, an outstanding success with all American cars having a 4 speed box as standard !
So as this car is a US import does it still retain it's 4 speed box ?
Does it retain US diff ratio of 3.36 or upgraded to Euro 3.90 ?
Just a modicum of detail about the car you are selling may be beneficial don't you think ?
Maybe Bonhams could spend more time finding out about the product they are putting in front of you, the actual car they are selling rather than waffling with cliches
3000 hours restoration ?
Can we see a copy of the invoice please Mr.Bonham or specifically Mr.Polson who seems to be in charge of the sale on this car ?
Yeah right, who are you kidding.
Average workshop costs £ 50+VAT in the North and £ 75+VAT in the South ?
That's £ 150k+VAT ( £ 180k ) in Yorkshire and £ 225k+VAT (£ 270k) in Kent
In that case it seems a veritable bargain then at just £ 30-40k plus extortionate auction house fees
Send me a catalogue first class post please
Oh yeah, and just for good measure the bonnet doesn't line up properly with the wing on driver's side, panel gap is far too close to front of wing
Rant over !
