2006 F1 Competition

Prizes

Right - prizes !

As previously mentioned, for the F1 Drivers' championship contest, the winner will receive a Tamiya 1:1/12 240ZG kit. In the (very likely) event that there are several contestants, there will be a hat-draw at the first National meeting after the close of the F1 season (22nd October). I might find something for the second placed person (if I don't win the first prize :) !

In the event that no other prizes are offered for the full F1 Championship competition, I garantee (at least) the following :

1st place : a Datsun / Nissan jacket delivered to you (your choice from the following) plus something else :

2nd place : a years' free Z Club membership

3rd place : £10 voucher for The Z Club Shop

I would like to add to these prizes but need some nice offers please !

Remember that enrollment in both competitions is only £10, or just £7.50 for the full F1 competition !

You are reminded that, enrollment fees should be paid to the club by either PayPal (mentioning F1 Competition -£7.50 or F1 and Drivers competition - £10) between the 1st and 7th March OR by cheque to the treasurer payable to The Z Club accompanied by a note stating your name, address and stating whether enrollment to the F1 or F1/Drivers' competition !

I remind you of the teams and drivers so far :

Renault - Alonso - Fisichella

McLaren - Raikonnen - Montoya

Ferrari - M Schumacher - Massa

Toyota - R Schumacher - Trulli

Willimans - Webber - Rosberg

Honda - Button - Barrichello

Red Bull - Coulthard - Klien

BMW Sauber - Heidfeld - Villeneuve

MF1 - Monteiro - Albers

Super Aguri - Sato ? - ???

Check yourself on www.formula1.com

First race is the 12 th March, last forecasts to be emailed or PM'd to me by at the latest Wednesday night (midnight GMT) the 8th March !

We are hoping to have an auto log on and forecast system up and running and if so, you'll hear about it but it might be a little late so email/PM me anyway until further notice !

Where are you all ?

Bump - this isn't like the quiz night - we can't postpone this to another night !

If there aren't enough people at the start, the contest doesn't take place this year !

So, if you want to participate, please register your intentions here !

Sean, I am definitely up for this again...

So, I reiterate my interest and hope the apathetic masses wake up soon and register too....

Yes I'm IN again this year and will have a go at both competitions.

From my point of view if you require a minimum number of entries to cover prizes then forget the prizes.

I find it interesting just seeing how hard it is to guess the outcome of each race.

I hear you Rob - let's see what happens - if we don't get enough people, we'll still have a laugh and a challenge :)

Disappointing that so few have replied positively !

This could have earnt a little money for the club, generated more web-traffic, more interest and won some people some nice prizes !

I despair.................

5 Raikonnen

6 R.Schumacher

Sean,

I'm not sure what's going on here, is the competition a goer?

Anyway here is my prediction for this weekend and World Champion:

Raikkonen
Alonso
Montoya
Button
Webber
Barrichelo
M Scumacher
Heidfeld

WC: Raikkonen

It aint a goer mate - I'm not sure there are any prizes going either but just for the fun eh ? Bugger the rest of 'em !

We all seem pretty confident for Toyota then :)

Yeah, me too I put Raikonnen as 2006 world champion (but Renault as constructors champion !

Here's my prediction for this weekend.

Raikonnen

Alonso

Button

Montoya

Barrichello

M Schumacher

Fisichella

N Rosberg

I think it will be a close Championship this year - maybe contested by as many as 3/4 drivers, but I have to go with Raikonnen for champion.

I can't believe Mclaren will have another bad season like last year.
I also believe they will win the Constructors title.

Dave.
