Hey all
I'm really struggling at the moment, still in the planning stages of the restoration of the car (S30-141102), since we've established the car is actually a Nissan Fairlady Z rather than 260Z - would anyone know what badges would have been on the bonnet and boot lid?
Trying to find out and cant find anything anywhere, completely stumped.
Thanks
Paul
These on the front wings and the rear hatch or spoiler if fitted:

As for the bonnet, the correct emblem looks at first glance like the "Z" emblem for the 280ZX, but is thicker and designed for the contour of the S30 bonnet. It attaches, as per the "Datsun" bonnet badge on 240 and 260Zs, with two pins.
This Japanese auction listing has a rough one, for reference (ignore the 2+2 quarter emblems):

Availability: the "Fairlady Z" wing and rear emblems are now getting difficult. They used to be easily available (on eBay often from the US) but have gone NLA I think. Your best bet is buying from Yahoo Auctions Japan via a service like Buyee. Here are some:

The bonnet badge - very difficult to get. Again, use the Japanese auctions. You will be very, very lucky to find one from any other source. Two that I have acquired before were both from Japan. People even in Japan often use an S130 / 280ZX badge and bodge the mounting (with emblem tape) to make it work.
Prices - expensive. About 45-50 quid for the "Fairlady Z" ones each. Bonnet = £££. Worth it IMO for correctness. But be prepared (especially the bonnet badge).
Given you have a Fairlady Z, you need to get acquainted (at least) with Yahoo Auctions Japan (via Buyee, or bidjdm.com). Some detail parts you will have trouble sourcing outside of Japan.
PM me if you have any other questions. Albrecht (Alan) is also the real expert here on JDM cars so he is someone to tap for info.
