you mean you're going up in size from 14"?
Edit, I see you mean higher profile? Have you a pic of how your wheels look at the minute?
My wheels are 14x7
Franky, see the side-on pic here. Mine also are 14x7.
The 195 60 on a 14 wheel is approx an inch and 3/4 small in overall wheel diameter, and near 7% short on rolling circumference (so your speedo and mileage is overstated). Going to a 195 70 is very close to the original 178 78 on a 14 wheel (which in today's money is closest to a 175 80).
There is lots of choice in 195 70 tyres and would be OK, but I would prefer to move to a slightly wider tyre to better fit the rims. That's where it gets difficult though. 205 60 are available but still leave the overall diameter and circumference short. 215 60 is what I would really like but only Nankang's are on the market. It can even be pushed to 215 65 but Nankang and Federal are about the only brands to fill that niche. I keep searching. But it keeps coming back to either a compromise onto Nankang tyres, or staying safe on 195 70 and having every brand to choose from (probably I'd go with Dunlop Street Response)
