More progress.

The car is now back from the paint shop and fully reassembled. I'm delighted with the end product.

Photo library taken to show each step.

I'm glad I went for bare metal - no engine bay. It looks unrestored, which is what I wanted.

Any suggestions on where to take it to join fellow members? A show or something?

Looks a lovely car and I don't blame you for itching to show it off.

It's a bit of a journey for you but how about Simply Japanese at Beaulieu on 31 July? There is a thread in Shows & meets with all the details.

Rob kindly suggested I offer the car to a professiional photographer for a book on classic cars.

The studio is booked for next Friday in Banbury. I'll take lots of photos, then upload to photobucket.

No offence but your car's completetion merits better quality photos and I can't say 'great job' based upon them ! :)

Yes - I simply meant I couldn't comment upon the two 'selfies' posted up - looking forward to the studio ones.

Thanks Rob. Sean, and rest of the experts on this site that I respect, the car is not 100% concours. It's early days - I've not had the chance to do all the little getting jobs. There is a long list I'm sure.

It was never my plan to make it a perfect show car. I'm not going to become fanatical about the car. I'll slowly buy surely edge it in the right direction but it'll take time.

I'm going to need lots of advice and guidance. I'll post up questions and ask for help. G

I'm not 'concours' nor 'show', I just don't like black blades on the end of s-steel arms because they tend to disappear against the black interior through the windscreen and look unfinished. The OEM blades date the car certes but age is not something of which to be ashamed.

Car looks great, love the colour (but I would say that)
