Lime 112 240Z restoration

QUESTION TIME, DO THESE LOOK LIKE ORIGIONAL Z SEAT BELTS ? THE INERTIA ROLL LIVES IN A POCKET BEHIND THE SEAT AND CLIPS INTO THE Z LOGOED RECIEVER BUT GOT NO IDEA WHERE THE OTHER CHROME LAP BELT END GOES

Terry I know it's 'history' now but did you ever sort out the seatbelts? Your's don't appear to have matching/compatible parts.

Air filter box - I have one like that. I'm not convinced the flap will open when the engine is warm - are you?

On your 'SHINY' pic I notice your swage line has cut the top half off the car next to it, nice line!

Thanks Franky yes awesome colour back in the 70s people would wait for the next train load to come in rather than take this colour

Rob not at the seatbelt stage yet but will take a look on Saturday as I will need them

Ride height maybe, I havn't connected the brake pipes up yet so as I can swop my vast stock of springs around when ( as you observed ) the car is fully furnished it will make a lot of difference fuel, seats and glass ect to the height, at the moment its sitting a little high but it looks as though it may be just about right when loaded

slick 50

All the rage in the US in the 70/80s still get it now here so my engine and diff must be in good order ;) :)

might leave the sticker in the window

Progress

insid and out

Now that's better painted the inside with a fresh coat of slightly satin lime and a few other bits to

Front suspension heights looking great and those wheels are perfect. This is going to be one of the best zeds in the country.

Plus, it's a Z-free zone around here. Most Zs in New England have met the same fate as those in Old England. In this case, heavily salted winter roads plus very salty sea air. Pity I've not made it to CA this year. In that case I might have been returning with additional baggage in a freight container!
