I'm talking about the last video you put up with your wife in the car. Coming round the bend there was an eddy Stobart lorry pulling across the track!!! Doesn't sound too safe?

Yeah, they cross over at the entrance to the pits, but they do go around the outside of the track (coned off).... no, not the best of ideas really

GTR is official for sale........ Im moving into central London and I am assuming I wont have space for the car.

Step 1 complete - Intakes installed and version 5 Ecutek installed, making a grand total of 654bhp thank you Litchfield :D

Step 2 Jan 7th - full service at Sly

Step 3 - repaint bootlid and get car detailed (inside, outside, engine bay)

Good luck buddy.

Have found my apartment in the city and it has big wide underground parking, so the GTR is staying :)

Went to Aston Martin to test a Vantage to see if that would convince me to sell the GTR, took the missus with and she drove the Aston as well. Even she said no to changing the GTR for the Aston, unfortunately she said we would keep the Aston and consider buying the Aston a little later ;)

A few pics of the Aston we drove and a similar car compared to the GTR.

:D and it is lovely :D

What are them silly looking stripes on them Aston's ? They sure don't float my boat ! The only Aston for me would be the gorgeous 70's/80's V8 Vantage.

Wot he said for the stripes - obviously mimicking the Le Mans cars but yuk !

Been in one of those Vantages....hmmmm, I'd rather a DB9 V12.

But still, I can't get over losing a manual box....I'm too old-school.

I'll stick with the Z - it's lighter and rarer.

We both love Z's & obviously differ where Aston's are involved. Pre DB7 are proper hand crafted Aston Martin beast's, I love them.

Nah, they got lost after the DB6 so if you want beautiful lines again (that don't get mistaken for a Jag XKR), go DB9.

But if I had to choose (and keep) one or the Z....I'd keep the Z....stupid sentimental sucker that I am.

The DB9's are so boring to drive and the gearbox is annoying. The DBS is a much more driver focused car and IMO looks timeless. Sounds better too!! Already starting to rise in prices..

Been in one of the new V12 Vantages, seems quite a fun little car to drive however the flappy paddle gear changes are like gun shots when you're flooring it, not a big fan and I'm curious to know how that would affect balance whilst on a race track (if you ever were to take one on a track and push it!)

You struggle to beat a GTR gearbox!

I'm only going on looks - I don't have the dulicks to even test drive one.:D

Maybe there's the difference ; the Nissan being more 'competition' and less Kensington High Street minded - but how many anyway of either owners push theirs on the track ?

I have driven the Aston with the paddle shift and I really didnt like it.... this one was manual and it was very nice! Not a huge fan of the stripes either.......

The Aston would not be for track use, will be keeping the GTR, MX5 (which is currently being supercharged) and 240z :)

Of course I like the DBS and the older Astons, but thats a whole different discussion on budget

Since I am keeping the car, this year is going to be a general tidy up on the car, to make sure everything is perfect :)

Done:-
-New windscreen (already chipped :()
-New ASNU injectors (and remap) to reduce black smoke
-Refurbed wheels
-Silicone piping

To be done:-
-Custom wrap goes on in June
-New tyres (R888s)
-New brakes
-Will repaint the calipers with the new brakes

Might be on the list for this year:-
-New front seats
-Remove rear seats (allow more space for bags, etc)
-Front diff (waiting to see a friends car with a quaiffe front diff)

Just done 600 miles last weekend going to Holland and back to look at the tulips. Will be out at N24 at the end of this month and then a couple of GTR owners are doing a tour of Europe in September.
