Why 2 pairs of frt ind units  Are you saving a set for me :D

Sorry to disappoint you Wynn but "computer says no..............." (apologies for Little Britain plagiarism)

I have many duplicates, two sets of new rear lights, 3 sets of indicators, 2 sets of badges, 2 ignition locks, 2 oil/temp guages etc etc. They were bought because they are a pain to get and were available at the right price, simple as that. Will use them on my next cars.

That dipping mirror doesn't look like an S30-series Z part.

What's the part number?

And I was going to ask what the build date was :D !

Seriously Andy - !

Thanks  !

I don't think it is Alan but bearing in mind the vast amount of "non standard" parts I did not think it would be an issue to slip a few more in. I bought both the dipping and non dipping because they were there, together and thought I could choose at a later date.

Well, I suppose anything can be made to fit. My point was that it doesn't appear to be an S30-series Z part - the only one out of all the other parts you posted pics of. I was wondering if you had realised, and hoping you hadn't been ripped off.

May I post your photos of the parts I have bought from you ?? They are better than pictures I take :D and more exciting parts :D

Go ahead. But beauty ( and excitement ) is in the eye of the beholder, isn't it? Might look like old junk to some people...........

Oh, and I forgot to tell you - you've been gazumped. A little birdy called me and offered more than you did..................... ;) :p

Just kidding

However, you live and learn and I learned a lot :D

zedhead260]How did you get the door skin to levitate like that ??[/[/B]quote]

It's the same sort that Skiddy uses, much lighter than standard, has to be weighed down prior to welding on the car to stop it floating away. :conf2:

Gotta learn the quote function before you're allowed out on the road in a Z mate ![/[/B]quote]

Am doing my best :D Will hopefully get the two big parts bins photographed for you soon ........

Some obscure bits in there, some of which may not be from an S30 and many of which are bungs, grommets, screws, all the little odds and sods. Still got bumpers, tailgate, allsorts left to go.

Feel better now you have seen some pics ? ;)

Welding should be finished next week. On to dipping and zinc electroplating next, then suspension when I have saved up a bit. :D

Where did you get the replica head light covers and grille from???
These are parts that I would like to get.
Have seen plenty of headlight covers but none (except originals) with the steel trim.

They came from a Japanese guy in America called Eiji Hosomo (correct me if I am wrong Alan) and he advertises them on ebay quite often. I believe they are made in Japan and get shipped "en masse" to Eiji, who then sells them on.

He is a very reputable chap by all accounts, the transaction went very smoothly and the covers were delivered how and when he said they would be.

I also have a brand new set of the typical perspex American covers but they are nowhere near as nice.

That's Eiji Hosomi.

I've met him a couple of times in Japan, and can vouch for his honesty, integrity and trustworthiness. The light cover replicas are just as good as the Nissan originals.

:)

Thanks Alan, got it nearly right :D

Three pics of a model car painted Lambo orange courtesy of Moggy - Thanks Moggy, I owe you big time ! The cheque is in the post :D

Granted this is just a model with different wheels etc but I love the way the light catches the pearlescent paint. Will look just how I want it to on a full sized car.

Again, sorry about the pdf but it is the only way to get big pics up here.

I hope you won't mind me saying so, but I think that's quite a naff colour choice. I also think you'll get bored with it quite quickly. Big instant impact might seem the way to go, but I think people will just tend to remember the car for its colour and will have trouble 'seeing past it'.

I would recommend neutral and relaxing shades. Might I suggest something from the 'English Heritage'-approved range sold by Farrow and Ball? I think if you chose a straight colour from the Georgian or Victorian era, you will find it to be a 'grower' rather than a 'fader'............

And Laura Ashley are making some nice 'vintage' colours for Homebase now I believe.

I've got some good tips on where to get good knock-offs of William Morris fabric prints too. You might like to keep this in mind when you are planning your upholstery. Don't hesitate to ask.
