% of hybridz !

I remember you saying "why shouldn't I want an LSD in an auto V8 swap into a 280ZX" !!!

Yeah muscle cars...but aren't hybridz about bringing these cars into the 21st century ? Making 'em more driveable and comfortable ? Power steering (there I go again), decent suspension and brakes all come into play there !

Yeah Russ, rollocks to straight sex, ad a couple of cylinders to your drive :) !

I know Sean! I too believe that hybrids are about modernisation and that you should install a LSD when fitting an engine that if you pull away with any verve will smoke a tyre up the road for as long as your foot remains on the gas pedal. However, you don't HAVE to do that because driving a car like that around is bloody hilarious fun if that’s what you want! It is somewhat irritating if you don't, though!

Come on Russ V8!, V8!, V8!:D

Is it hilarious to go straight on at the same speed under braking or attempting to lurch through corners - I think not ! Russ - get yer chequebook out but you will have fun :)

I can't say I have much experience of the standard gear, but I'm sure it's adequate for cruising :) By now things are probably very tired though, my car has all new bushes and springs (not sure about brakes/dampers yet lol).

Jees guys one step at a time :) I would like a working Z to start, nevermind the v8. My short stroke will be a fun project in itself. I need to get a feel for what a standard Z is like before I decide to go the v8 route, I might like it just like it is and I really want a Dodge Charger so might go that route instead ;)

I want a Fairlady roaster as well, maybe with standard lump, I was considering a bike engine one though if they are light enough. Sean will you have a chassis left when you finish your yellow one?

Anyway if we are still on the % hybrids topic then I bet maybe one or two Z are completly stock in this country, so about 99% are hybrids ;)

Good call on the Charger, what year? 383 or 440? one of the prettiest mopars ever made IMHO.

My brother bought a mint 69 383 before he emigrated to the US, owned it for 20 mins (was still driving home) lost it on a roundabout, over corrected, drove it through a concrete fence and into a concrete park bench demolishing both (fortunately no-one was sitting on either at the time). They are lively on the arse in the hands of the unwary! Great cars though!

Back to topic.......

Gotta be a '70 Challenger but the dash is a let down ! The 2nd chassis may be available Russ which would make a great kit-car base !

Best thing you could do to an E-type in my opinion!

Only joking!

Hmmm 440 RT pistol grip manaul Challenger *drool*

RT sounds a good one (I am called Russell Taylor so would same initials).

I was thinking of overhauling the suspension so it would be less of a handful, not sure if that's possible though.

Sean: Can you get fibreglass bodypanels?

I can but no quicker or cheaper than others here on this site - post a wanted up :)

But there is also carbon fibre available (if you know who to ask) and ally front grilles and.....fun isn't it :) ?
