As we did towards the end of the 90s after you had cleared off across the water .;)
In fact the ones we did when I was in charge were much better than when you were there.:thumbs:

P mac is right,and its still a waste of money to put just 2 cars on show,those that want to show their cars at this event ,let them pay for it out of their own money,they would soon change their minds when they find out the cost,and being jap cars as Pmac said the joe blogs public still dont know wot a Zed is,it proves it when the Zed gets called a porshe or a mazda,now how can you get a porche wrong,put it to a club vote by post so everyone gets a vote

The WHAT is The Club doing to right this wrong - WHERE is the promotion of the cars ,

But it isn't just two cars - it's the promotion of all the cars - one club !
 
We have had all this before,as i live in the real world i am more interested in driving my Zed than promoting it as that is wot they are for as you keep reminding us of it,most people in the club coudnt give a toss about promoting the zed,FACT,just look at the amount of members that bother coming on here,1 twopenny show which cost hundreds of pounds for 2 cars to be put on show and do we reap the rewards as a club,not in mye eyes we dont,due to bad committee decicions in the past to waste hundreds of pounds on this show the club has less money to spend on things that would probably be more enjoyable by wot is now a very small membership, GET REAL

Serious question : I can't find anywhere a charter of the clubs' aims, reason for being etc. Can someone please tell me the official reason for the clubs' existence ?
Where would a potentiel new member see what he's contributing (time, effort, money) towards ,
Is it a structure for going out in ones' car and/or promoting the make, helping to keep more on the roads, promoting Z motorsport ?

I find no listing anywhere.........
 
Fact of the matter is,you dont need a club to get people together for a gathering of enthusiasts to meet and do the usual things,you dont need a club to get cheaper insurance,you dont need a club to get cheap parts,you dont need a club to go drag racing,shall i go on,i think the reason we have a club is cos all us old gits find it nice to meet up with some of the other old gits now and then that we haven t seen for a while,that is aimed at us old gits that have been around for a while,so wot i propose is a meeting of all the old gits that went to the meets in their Zeds as far back as the eighties,now that would be a good meet,round my house anytime, now who is up for that
 
there was going to be three as i was invited to display my 240z but due to the new owner who i am going to disclose the was taken on wenesday and has gone to someone who will give it lots of tlc end
 
I will be posting the 2013 list of proposed ZClub events this week. They will be posted in the form of a poll just like 2012 and will include NEC. Last year there was no interest at all for NEC but during this years AGM there was several members who wanted to make the 2013 show happen. If you are intersted in the ZClub attending place your vote on the poll.
 
The NEC should be put to the vote,informing the club membership how much it costs and wot benefits finacially the club got out of it in previous years,i rest my case

I don't know if it is here but according to an old copy of the Z Club Magazine they are available from the Membership Secretary if you forward an A4 size S.A.E to them

People are talking about cost? Not sure what is meant by this? As far as I'm aware it costs nothing for a stand and is free to get in.
 
I've just got back from this and it is a very well put together show, far from twopenny. But it is such a shame that only one 240Z was inside the NEC, and the other car was a dealer selling a 260Z 2+2.

But rather than being totally negative about the whole thing, the Z register are still upbeat and hoping to get a stand to exhibit again next year, and I agree with Johnymd and why can't we work together to make it a show worth attending by both club's members?
