Drag Challenge Round 3 - JapShow Santa Pod 18/19th June

If there's a pass still free Mike, I'd like to come on the Saturday with my 260z

As long as the second batch of passes arrive from Santa Pod on time, I'll get one in the post for you. Otherwise, you might have to park up in the public side and walk round to get a pass from me!

Note these are Club passes, NOT entry tickets - they get you into the Club area rather than public parking.

Mike, do you have a list of the results or total points that you could post up for the time being?

Have you got me down for a pass Mike? I'm going to try and make both days if I can get out of house hunting for a weekend.

Have you got me down for a pass Mike?

You are on my list. And I managed to forget to give you the pass on the two occasions I've seen you recently...
Are you back up this way during the week? The autostart feature on my video board doesn't work...

Mike, do you have a list of the results or total points that you could post up for the time being?

In the absence of the Drag Challenge area being fixed (Russ??), and in preparation for this weekend's battles, the leaderboard after two rounds and an Eliminator looks like this at the moment:

John Palmer 38 points
Paul Hopkinson 32 points
Rob Smith 28 points
Darren Stiles 26 points
Frank Marino 13 points
Terry Taylor 11 points
Kurt Baur 9 points
Charles Leekam 7 points
Mike Feeney 6 points
Matt Bannister 4 points
All the rest who have attended but not run, 2 points each

Regulars will be pleased to see that we are conveniently placed for the cafe and fire-up road entrance!
Nice one, is that area "D" if so then they have given us the same fo Retro:thumbs:

Although the weather was changeable today, most attendees got three or four runs in. No results yet as this is a two day event.

Worthy of mention though is the Bradshaw "Project Z" 350Z which ran a 6.8 and just over 200mph late in the afternoon - a "bouncy" run, handled well and resulting in this awesome time. Well done to all involved!

Not even a sniff of the times Mike?

I had a good day but would sooner be at the pod. Finalised the details with my house buyer and discussed what furniture and fittings they would like to buy. Finish the bathroom and en-suite underfloor drains and plumbing so the floors are back down. And got the engine back in the right place so the Z is ready for the pod tomorrow.

Don't worry John my times were ***** as a vacuum hose was not connected so next to no boost meant a n/a RB26 for most of the day. All fixed for tomorrow though :driving: see you there tomorrow.

The jet car did it in 5 seconds going sideways at 260 in a cross wind. We were all just a bit slower.

Not even a sniff of the times Mike?

There have been good times...
There have been bad times...
But we made it through to the other side - and the important thing is, we're all still in it together...

See you tomorrow!

Many thanks for organising this. What a brilliant event!!

I did my best to say hello to everyone today. Apologies to anyone I missed.
