Another new 'baby' !

If they hadn't then the moving engine would have been attached to the fixed blower outlet - result, it would break anyway! Not the most efficient system.

Zbirdy - you've a long way to go to catch up DJs post count !

Mike - hadn't they heard of flexible hoses ? I want to 'patch' up the gap so the air flow is more efficient !

Hi,
Do we really need the "Hairdryer" anyway?
On the subject of tyres, I bought a couple of budget 225/50 "Star Performers" made by Cooper-Avon for the front of my car, which cost about £50 each from the local tyre shop. They are ZR rated and seem to have good wet and dry grip and have a nice looking tread pattern too!;)
The nice thing about the Z31 Turbo, is you can drive it off boost around town or dawdling and it's like an NA car. With a little familiarality you can tap into the extra performance just when needed!
It makes for a relaxing GT car in the mould of say... an Aston DB7!:D
How long before you will be turning the boost up though!? ;)

I am afraid that my President isn't the kind of guy using this device called a "pedal" in the way the designer thought!
As a matter of fact, you can even ditch the fuck...g pedal and put an on/off switch, he woulnd't even notice it:D :D :D

Nop, still way too much travel course, more like a light switch...
If you have seen him using a go-kart, you know what I mean...

Hummm!!!! He must be! 'cause he is in front of us most of the time... but then again, it's that on/off thingy...
;)
As for myself I can drive some very fast laps, but too much of them and I trun green... then blue, then white, then off!!!!
But hey, I am workin' on it:D

That sounds like a challenge DJ !
Yeah Jez, I've already consulted Mr F on the goodies needed to get closer to 300bhp, all I need to do now is bypass Cathy !
I'll have to do up her 280 first mind !

The only person who's beaten me in 3 years is Slack-bladder, the day after (note well) my wedding and it was an enormous battle for 20 minutes and he crossed the line 10 cms in front of me !

Boomer, I'm not counting our 'nearly' race recently when some oik of a mechanic shoved me flat out into the tyre wall !

As has been said, if one gently squeezes the throttle, one can drive very gently and economically (11/100) 25 mpg, but hey....go buy a diesel !

"I have bought a Diesel,& very nice it is too..............
P.s Steve Lack sound's like a mean karter.....DJZ 60.

You come across as a diesel lover !
In fact we have an Audi A3 Tdi 90 bhp which I can get to run at 48 mpg at 90 mph !

All I've driven since '98 are vans and some go better than others !
The Vito looks great and goes very well - good choice !

So, what else is bad ? There are some rust spots, notably (but not limited to) two small holes, one under the boot lid on the left and one on the bottom, rear corner of the drivers’ door.
Hi,
You may already have checked, but if not, take a look under the boot carpet and insulation, including the toolkit. These cars tend to leak into the boot area, by the lights and the foam insulation becomes sodden, resulting in severe rusting!
I have seen cars where the boot floor has been badly rusted and the spare wheel well, rusted right through to daylight below!

Thanks, there was some condensation when I bought it, I opened it up, removed the foam and let the air get to it all. Since it appears that the car is water-tight, thankfully with all the rain at the moment !
What concerns me is that I want to change the sparkplugs and I saw on another older thread that this is a pig to do without the original tool - guess what is the only thing I'm missing ?
Seems to be running better, any advice on which plugs and leads and dizzy cap to fit - can't find any reference in the auto shops here ?

Hi,
The correct plugs are NGK BCPR6ES-11's .The best place for replacement leads and cap is MJP. Mike usually stocks the correct cap and Taylor high performance leads in red or blue, which fit properly. You might need to source a replacement spark plug tool from a breaker, as the plug ports are quite deep and are a pig to reach without it!...The passenger side rear plug is the worst and usually entails unbolting the throttle cable mounting, if I remember correctly. The drivers side plugs aren't too bad to reach.
