This is all wrong isn't it ?

A truly lovely Datsun 240Z that is extremely original. The car was sold new in Australia and so has never ever seen salt, and has been rarely driven in the rain.

The car has matching engine and chassis numbers, and the paintwork still shines as Datsun intended.

The interior is all original and has one small crack in the dash that we will be repairing prior to sale, and features all of the original carpet.

The engine has a polished rocker cover, and the 5 speed manual transmission still selects like new.

What's wrong about it Sean?

Too good to be true?

I wonder why a car sold new in Australia is LHD?

As with a lot of cars featured in pictures when you park and turn the ignition off the front wheels go on full lock - thankfully mine don't do that.

I think that is the central point Sean may be making - it isn't an Australian market 240Z. It looks to be a US car. And a modified one at that if it has a 5-speed. This is not apparent from the ad.

Yep. Not extremely original (wheels too) and not Australian - US.

Bloody 'ell - I missed that - well spottedand niether photo was taken in the UK.

:smash:

We know what he's trying to mean.....although he must have detailed access to some informative production archives to have the confidence to try  and state this.

Surely the 'plate' in the engine bay will confirm 'matching numbers'.
