Windscreen Wipers

I have some wipers fitted to my 260Z which are silver but some todger has had them powder coated and now it's chipping off. If I wanted to get some nice Chrome ones then what do I need to be looking for in terms of replacement. I can imagine originals cost a fortune!

I am looking at replacing them from the bonnet upwards
 
On the later 260Zs the "todger" would be Nissan - wiper arms and blade carriers were black on these models. Early silver versions (never chrome plated) are virtually impossible to find now.

can you still get the rubber blades to refit into the original silver holders
and if so how much???:confused: .For a 240, if that makes any difference.

Are there similar units that can be nicked off other makes of vehicle. MG or Triumph for example. I'm not too worried about originality.

I believe one must cut from a moderen blade and gracefully slide in !But I'm counting on Mr F to confirm / deny !

I know someone who's hoarding 'em for a rainy day !
