Windscreen chrome trim fitting

Hi y'all, general knowledge question for you with the experience. The car's just finishing re-spray, ready for refit of the windscreen and rear hatch window, with new rubbers all round. Is it best to fit the chrome trim strips to the rubbers before fitting the glass, or the other way round? I'm getting conflicting advice on that.

Second question: anyone any recommendations on where to find new trims, should I need them?

Thanks,

Keith

Fit them to the seals before you fit the screens in the car. I can only talk from experience but that is what I've done and I believe that's the correct way to do it. With regards to new trims, I know Sean does the corners but I am assuming you mean the whole trims? You should be able to get a second hand set if yours are completely shot. As they're stainless steel they polish up really nicely.

Thanks very much Geoff. I've found some sharp corners for the front screen trims online but can't find the curved corners for the rear window.
