just realised i shouldn't have said that . The 300zx is an extremely reliable and well built car, there's gotta be a reason for the trouble you've got with it. Especially as it's you're first Z it's very offputting for you.

Im Definately Not Going To Be Beaten By My Z So Theres No Way I Would Break It .i Dont Care How Much It Costs To Get It Running Because I Know The Amount Of Fun Im Going To Have .(one Day)
I Paid £1500 For It From A Mate Who Left It Standing For 6 Months It Needs A Clean And Slight Body Work And The Wheels Need Centre Caps But Apart From That Im Going To Persist.just Spoke To A Guy From Grb In Cotteridge (birmingham) Who Says He Will Look At It On Sunday.fingers Crossed.
 
Thanks Gio I Was Told That Zedworld Was Up North Didnt Know It Was So Close.anyway Went To See Geoff When I Got There A Guy Called Richard Was Seeing If Geoff Could Recover His Z From 2 Mile Up The Road.so Geoff Asked Me If I Could Do It Whilst He Looked At Mine. (i Had Borrowed A Mates Truck) So On The Way Down To This Guys Workshop Rich Told Me That He Thought He Was Being Ripped Off So He Had Removed His Car From The Workshop And The Engine He Had Brought For It.when We Got There Our Freindly Tinkers Had Took His Engine With Two New Heads And Turbos On It.rich Said He Had Only Been Gone 5 Mins So He Went Looking For Them And As Luck Would Have It Got It Back.so Back To Zedworld We Went Car And Engine On Back.me Being Not So Lucky Found Out My Compressions Were Averaging About 40 Psi And Was Told I Needed A Rebuild Or Replacement So Rich Found Out He Didnt Need An Engine After All Just Some Pipes Cleaned And Some Tlc From The Conzult. I Brought The Engine For £300 And Am Going To Get It Fitted Hopefully Very Soon.even Though I Was Told The Comp Was Ok By Some One Else.geoff Is A Great Guy To Talk To And Freindly.i Managed To Get £5oo Back Of The Guy I Brought It From So Things Are Looking Rosey Again. Cheers For All Your Help.

Took The Engine Out Last Night Just Got To Swop The Bits And Bobs So Should Be Going Back In Saturday.
 
Car Runs Great And Paint Work Came Out Fantastic So Time To Have Some Fun. Thanks For All Your Help Especially Gio For Recommending The Guys At Zedworld Who Couldnt Of Done A Better Job Even If They Tried.

hmm maybe a weak/faulty ptu mate, as someone said before make sure the battery is ok and the connections on the terminals are in good condition. it does sound like the vehicle is flooding from cold as the computers in the car will always inject more fuel from cold to aid engine warm up so taking the fuel pump fuse out will eliminate fuel supply and allow the engine to deal with the fuel already in the system before having lots more shoved down the intake pipe. you may find that if you time it right and crank with fuse out and put it back in just as it starts to try to start the engine will start. ah also check the earth leads to the engine have had this on the old QXs if they haven't snapped then clean them up and you may find this helps

I SEEM TO GET ALL THE LUCK JUST WENT OUT FOR MY FIRST SPIN AND FOUND OUT THE HEAD GASKETS HAVE GONE.WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A REBUILT ENGINE????????????????:mad: :mad: :mad:
