when will they be here

Expected by who, Steve? No-one who has ordered a 350Z expects anything any more. Dealer information is minimal and Nissan are being very quiet even though it is rumoured that the first lucky customers will receive cars landed 6th Oct by 16th Oct. The rest are strung out in a succession of ships until the end of December, which is the final deadline for all 450 original cars ordered in March, plus the 390 "extras" allowed later, to be delivered. Confused? Yes, we are!

Bl**dy ridiculous - you'd almost think they don't want to sell them. Now I can't afford one, but as a 260 owner (and Z fan for a long time before that) I'm really looking forward to seeing the 350's around. Soon I hope!

The Nissan dealer near to where I work reckons his demonstrator is arriving soon! He's promised me a "test drive" as soon as it does. The sales manager is the son of a work colleague!

His demonstrator is probably a customer car, but he isn't going to tell them it's there for the first week.......

....You didn't order an orange interior did you?

I work at NMUK and at the end of sept they had approx 10 cars (plus a roadster) at Sunderland.Nissan GB had arranged for customers to view the cars and see how Nissan manufacture cars. They were also lots of 350Z goodies being passed around (books, lapel badges, CD's). There where other venues around the UK.In the NMUK reception they had a 350Z and a pale yellow 240Z on UK plates, does any one know who this car belongs to. I've never seen it at the shows but it was like it had just left the factory. Nobody at NMUK could help, Nissan GB ? Very impressive event.

Yes Allan its me. Steve, I'll see Community Relations tomorrow and see what we can use for the magazine.

The pale yellow 240Z was commissioned by Nissan themsleves to be used in promoting the 350Z. It was prepared by Duncan Pearcey at the Z Farm and includes some parts from MJP USA sources. It made its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this year in the company of a rally prepped 240Z and four 350Zs (including a NISMO equipped version).

I believe the event at Sunderland was the Northern 350Z customer's treat from Nissan as their version of Brands Hatch and Goodwood. Buyers were treated to hospitality, test drives in convoy, a presentation and a factory tour.

Looking back at Nissan internal communications, they did say that Nissan GB had commissioned a Specialist to build a 240Z, I should have known this (doh&#33. Nissan GB say the car will be used for shows, exhibits etc. The next one may be the MPH03 show at Earls Court in December, but details are still to be confirmed.

We will be looking for Z Club member cars for the MPH show, but details still to be confirmed. Nissan will be using their own 240Z, so we will want 260Z, 280ZX, 300ZX representatives. Watch this space.

Also, for next year's NEC (May Bank Holiday weekend) we hope to participate in the Classic Rally that they are planning where rally cars will start from their factory or development base in the U.K. to converge on the NEC on the Saturday evening to be showcased in the NEC on Sunday. Gala dinner and overnight accomodation will be provided for the participants.

Now where do you think we could find a really clean freshly resprayed almost stock 300ZX Z32? Well, not now, maybe in a couple of weeks....

At the risk of being branded, anything to do with Nissan shows requires U.K. cars only.......sorry, not my choice, only a messenger etc.

Last week here in Holland several dealers held their 350 show! For instance my car was borrowed by a dealer who had FIVE 350Z’s in his showroom.

have you ever seen this!!!!!
