What's this radio?

Im trying to find out what radio this is as it doesn't look like any I've seen before.

Kris are you missing the cover that goes over the fuses, I might have a spare one of these, some of my stuffs packed away but I’ll have a look when I next can and let you know if it’s something your missing?

The Internet says its a cheap US aftermarket unit from circa 2000.

I won't be keeping that as it doesn't work, are there any good options for a replacement unit, I'm only just starting my restoration so I have loads of time to look around
