This morning I placed a wanted add but still no sign of it. Never placed one before so I have no idea of the process and how long it takes to appear. So, I thought I'd post here as well.
My neighbours are starting to get the hump with me and I can sort of see their point of view.
I tend to go out in the car on weekends pretty early and I guess it's before their chosen waking up time. Now, the car is generally pretty civilised and starts on the button and ticks over nice and quietly so that's not the problem. The problem is with the drivers door. It usually takes several heavy handed slams before it eventually rests in the closed position. By this time most of the residents of my street are either peering round their curtain or standing in the road in their jim jams. I have started to drive the first part of my journey with the door open and then only starting the slamming routine when I'm in an area that people won't recognise me.
I've identified the problem (well Terry did actually) to be a worn striker plate so if anyone has a spare in good condition please let me know. I'm shore the neighbours my ever club together and buy you a halfords gift voucher.
