It's those that buy tickets to show a car, and then think they can turn up at the show at 11am and expect to get in to put the car on the stand that drive me mad. We all prefer more sleep but we are PART of the show and that waits for no-one.
Z's unfortunately break, people get unwell, emergencies happen, so holding the passes works very well when they are in limited supply. In this case, there were 4 no shows, but if I had sent them out, there would have been at LEAST 10 no shows! When I take this on, getting the stand full of Zeds is ALL I care about, and a sale of ticket or pass transfer is only a change on a spreadsheet.
Meeting up and handing out is EASY. It takes 5 minutes. Sure, there are the odd ones rolling to the gate, but in a Z and in time to get to the display stand I've been more than happy to run down to the gates and get them in
I know some like to HAVE their tickets sent to them, and I have sent the odd ones out on request. Just think that in only 30 cars, some track times etc add to over a thousand pounds, you've lost your mind if you think I'm not going to be there to hand them out! I'm not afraid to give out my mobile number either.
As Alex said, stand passes ONLY come with club booked tickets. Good spots ONLY come with EARLY club booked tickets. I hope that since this was the 2nd year in a row I've got zclub onto Trax, that the really good stand spot becomes a permanent fixture. Having 16 track sessions may have been something to do with the placement though.
I wish I could see more photos of the stand. Had I felt better on the day, I would have taken my usual photo collection, there are some I'm unable to view on the 300 site grrrr lol
