Not had the paperwork yet. Will email them next week to make sure they've not sent anything to our old address.
 
Hi Richard i think some people from the 300zx.co.uk are talking about this event, When you know about the paperwork how about posting on there website? They were saying the event was full?

Hmm. I've emailed them. Reckon they might've sent the forms to our old address (we are no longer getting mail forwarded).
 
I only emailed them last night - don't expect to hear anything until tomorrow at the earliest. Normally, they just send the forms to me every February as I'm on their mailing list as a regular attendee, but I've not seen anything yet.

If, for whatever reason, we haven't been included, the chances of getting a stand at the end of May will be zero. We might be able to sort something for August.
 
Okay, update. Forms for the shows had been sent out and I reckon sent to my old address. Stuart, the Cheshire Auto Promotions head, is sending new ones out to me today. I will confirm our stand booking and then need specific details as always on attendees.

I.e. Name, car model and registration, days attending (Sat, Sun, both), camping or not, address for me to send the passes to when I receive them. Register interest in this thread and PM me all the details, lest you plaster your private information across the open forum for Nigerian scammers and other such subhuman internet vermin to harvest! :eek:

This year's shows are on the weekend of May 30th - May 31st, and the weekend of August 22nd-23rd. The August show this year also apparently has a Supercar Paddock, so those of you who may wish to bring your Lamborghinis, Zondas, McLarens etc., will have somewhere to sling them while you spend time with your proper car on the Z stand.

As always, car passes are free, as is entry for passengers. I will send out the passes (at my expense) when I receive them.

If you've never been, Tatton is a great, large regional show in a nice, accessible location. Big auto jumble, large play area for kids, etc.

I'll let you know shortly Paul. I need to speak to some of the long-term attendees first and see if they are wanting to come. We can then see where we are at and open it up.
 
Last call for the May 30th/31st Tatton show. Anybody else want to come who hasn't let me know already, pop me a PM this weekend giving day/s attending, car model and reg., and address for when I post passes out. I'm going to post the pass list early next week.

Hi all. Just had the envelope back from Cheshire Auto Promotions and it is not good news I'm afraid. Apparently, in my effort to round up enough attendees I didn't send the form back promptly enough (although I've sent it back marginally later before). The result is they've given our allocation to other clubs and we have no stand at the May 30th/31st event.

Not happy but there will be nothing that can be done about it based on prior experience.

I will make sure that the August booking is done earlier, but to that end, can I please have interested parties give me plenty of warning (I.e. now) if they want to attend. I'm not going to chase after people next time...

Better get the paper work sorted now for May 2016.
 
There is an alternative event though that we could participate in. The weekend before is the show at Capesthorne Hall, near Alderley Edge and Macclesfield. That is on the Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday and you can actually turn up on the day and exhibit (although you have to pay normal admission price). Pre-booking is available but for the Monday only, but I'd be inclined to just turn up (especially as pre-booking also requires pre-payment en masses for a club stand - too much hassle and expense I'm not dealing with). Any interest?
 
Bumping this as I've had a couple of PMs from people who clearly haven't seen it.

To reiterate, we do NOT have a club stand at the Tatton show next weekend and thus will not be participating.

I will try to make sure August's show gets sorted earlier so we don't get squeezed out (this has happened before a couple of times in the past).
