As far as janspeed could make out there was no chance of getting a race head out of japan so had to settle with the standard one. they used that head when they tried to turbo the race car and I believe that it now resides on a fourways engineering prepared race 240z.

So Janspeed developed a turbo "std" xflow head as well ?

We need pics

I guess that they must have "secretly" known that the handbrake on LHD cars was not best placed on the right of the trans tunnel but chose to ignore it due to cost savings..
You try telling that to an American. 99.9% of them seem to think that its in the *wrong* place on an RHD car.

How to tell a long-term LHD Z-owner from a long-term RHD Z-owner: The LHD owner can tie his shoe laces with his right hand without bending down.......

Which explains why pmac keeps his wallet in his LEFT pocket :)

Lol, looking at all those bits

Is amazing, all them bits that were needed to make the std engine into a xflow

Rods, mains or big ends and even the flywheel, not sure how some bits come into it, unless they are just up rated?

I can see the need for another sump because of the angle issue, but where’s the matching pickup ;)

Have you guys seen these pics on Zcar.com, someone developed their own.

Well it’s not April 1st yet

So this can’t bee a windup?

You telling me someone’s made a 24v head for Zed engine :D

It's either very cool..... or from a skyline ;)

Yes they have, and its all been done in a shed. :D

It's a couple of 240SX heads bolted together rather then welded, welding was causing warping of the metals.

Have a read about it here

I'm not having that !!
I can't see that staying together over 800 rpm !

I can only image that if that ever did fire into life, that head arrangement would end up looking more like the back of the Loch ness monster :D

Yeah I can see that happening too... :D :D

I hope Mr. F comes and sees that, he will be cringing so much.. lol

Albrecht,
Can I just say its fabulous of you take the time to let us see pics (and your knowledge) like you have been posting in this thread. I thank you (as will others).

Cheers
Ian

Sweeeeet

Just look at that exhaust manifold configuration

Someone’s very lucky to be able to own one of those if they do
Own up then, who on here owns one of them beauties

Is that a dry sump pump or a mechanical injection pump?

Looks like a dry sump pump m8, you can just make out the seperate stages for suction and pressure
