Sill Plates

I have been after some sill kick plates for my 2+2 for quite a while. There have been a few pairs on E-bay in the US but they are silly money and that wasn't including postage, VAT & import costs.

I then came across a company in Lincolnshire that make them to order called Finishing Touch. Granted, they are not OEM but they looked good on their website and they make them to the right size for a S30. They also etch whatever you want it to read as long as you can provide a picture or logo.

I ordered a couple for £65 inc. VAT & postage which I thought was reasonable and they turned up this morning. They were fitted this afternoon and I think they look great although I do think they could have been a bit longer - probably cos I didnt factor in the wider door aperture on the 2+2. I have attached a couple of photos of before & after fitting.

I think that looks pretty good, as you say, nothing like OEM, but visually looks neat and tidy

I cant see any screws in that pic, assume they stuck on with pads?

I think with mine, at some point, i will use some wire wool and hope to achieve a half decent brushed aluminum look

very nice i will have to look at getting some for mine.
luckily mines a 2+2 aswell so i know they will fit, good job
