S30 Handbrake cable straps

Does anyone know where I can get hold of the straps that suspend the handbrake cable at the rear of a 260Z please? These appear to have been some sort of leather or fabric that had a metal bit at one end that bolted to the chassis and a sort of P-clip at the other that went around the outside of the outer cable cover.

Mine appear to have disappeared and both cables have now dropped and are rubbing on the drive shafts. It's also affecting the operation of the handbrake.

If they are no longer available, does anyone have an alternative solution please?

I thought they were just springs with the end coil bend to 90*. But to answer your question, no I don't know were you would get some.

Springs on early cars, straps later - all no longer available as far as I am aware...

Hi Paul. If you could give me some dimensions, length of strap and diameter of the cable etc, I can have a look for you. The vintage stuff I muck about with may have something that will do as an alternative. Most of that stuff have cables hanging off the chassis with straps, chains or bailer twine supporting them :)

Problem I have is that there is nothing there to get a pattern and measurements. When I get time (and weather) I will get back under the car to have another look.
