RUSS, Poss Website Idea??

Well look out nippers, here comes old misery guts to throw in some negative thoughts!

First thing to say is that there are already around 8 books which cover all this.
Some of these books are collections of period magazine articles.
The second point is that the Z club already has an extensive archive which includes every book there is and huge amounts of magazine articles and other material.
All of this is copy rite of course.
Being serious. I dont want to curb your enthusiasm nippers , but dont try and invent the wheel, its already been done.
You may be able to still find additional material of course, especially from Japanese websites etc. But just bear in mind even with these that Brian Long, who has written some of the best researched books on the market about the Z series has a Japanese partner and so has already covered this angle.

I know books are not in fashion with the younger generation(remember I have 16 and 21 year old daughters) but I would seriously reccomend to all of the younger members that they read at least one of the available books.

I have some of these books mentioned, like you point out these would be excellent resources and reinventing the wheel is generally stupid.

Of course we still need content for mag/website so get stuck in!

Hey pmac
Is that the start of a review of some of the books you mention or just a reminder that we should have these books reviewed

Hi pmac,

I appreciate your input, and your comments are right in only some respects.
The point is, there may be stacks of books available with literally hours and hours of reading.
What im suggesting is a short factual, light hearted caption, revised on a monthly basis, of historical stuff. I for one dont really want to read about how the japanese car industry began in 1411, etc etc.
The point is that most people young and older like to read small captions of interest relating to a subject they are closely associated with, hence the success of the tabloid newspaper, and the relative demise of the broadsheet.
Its not about re-inventing, its about re-visiting.

I do appreciate your view though, and thats why i am asking for views/comments, keep them coming everyone.
Don.

Neither. The nippers wanted some feedback to their idea. They got some from me.
Im not against the idea, it just wont interest me personally. End.

Hey pmac, I too have a 21 year old son, he reads all time.
AND its great that you refer to me as a nipper, Im quite humbled, thanks.
Who knows maybe we will publish something of interest for you one day, watch this space.

Uggghhh !!!
Ive decided that this is a waste of time at the moment, as Ive had nothing but negative responses from every publisher Ive spoken to regarding copyright. HOW RIDICULOUS.
I only wanted to use certain wording, and make up a short story. But alas I think its heading in the wrong direction. Sadly Im not qualified enough to write my own short historical facts on the subject that i thought would make interesting reading.
Not wanting to get my fingers burned, Ive decided to give it a miss.
Guess you were right Russ, about the copyright aspect.
