Great day Jay

Sorry i had to shoot early but had other things come up last night , im glad i put my car on the dyno it has shown me a few areas where i can make some more hp and get me back to where it should be, i was gobsmacked that the air intake was drawing in air at 48c no wonder im down on hp, hot air no oxygen, no oxygen no big bang, no big bang = 159.4 HP instead of 170.

Nice to chat to all

Regards

Shrinking violets

Got my copy today

Tony, are you some sort of media magnet? cos every time you turn up to an event, as if by magic a film crew or reporter are there ...... hang on a moment .. nahhh could'nt possibly be:rolleyes:

Joking aside, big big ups for getting your Z's into another mainstream magazine.:D :D :D, and being brave enough to bare your BHP figures to the world.

Well, so many of those BHP figs are pie in the sky I reckon. What's on the front of PJ this month? 500BHP in a Civic? Can you imagine actually putting that sort of power through the front wheels of a car? My old Escort used to torque steer like a nutter with only 130 so gawd only knows what 500 is like!

And BHP isn't everything anyway (I have to think that, I've only got 160!!). Offer me a 400 brake scooby or EVO and I'd choose my 260 every time 'cos it's just a MUCH BETTER LOOKING CAR and just AS MUCH FUN TO DRIVE.

And it doesn't rain inside a Z :)

well i've just seen the mag and they mis-quoted me, i stated that my car had 170 bhp not 190 so im now the laughing stock at my sons work cos they all know me and think that im a plank, so not that impressed but it was a good day never the less

BTW, I don't mean the BHP figs at our rolling road sesh, I mean where someone says 400,500,600... 1000 BHP in a whatever just to grab a headline.

Neil, I'll bet your car is cooler than all of theirs put together :)

I must say the colour of my car looked really good in the pic, its funny how it looks so many different shades of blue in different pics

The biggest problem with these rolling road sessions is that everyone only looks at the peak bhp figure rather than how the car arrived at that figure. The torque curve is a much more important component in terms of how good or bad a car feels on the road and will moderate the bhp curve accordingly.
