Rhd 240z

Lovely car, well known and better to be seen out playing again.

Some minor detailing let it down (imho) but sensibly priced.

Is it sensibly priced Sean baby,it's a nice looking Z but as we have seen the better condition cars asking price in the 30-40 k price range, are they selling for that sort of money,I'm currently doing a few small jobs on my Zed i.e. Stone chips, running better ect over the next year and Half which may include a new/different engine then I might sell it,wot would I get for it I wonder

Yes they are selling but not via Ebay or this forum and yes, for a UK market, well documented car in vgc, I believe the price is obtainable.

You mean your 260Z ? Ah, that's another kettle of poisson, the last nice one sold for £22k I think so why not put yours up for £28 ?

Sensibly priced? If that's right where does it leave me? I've been trying to sell mine at about half that figure:

Where am I going wrong? Seriously, why can't I get anyone to even come and look at it? I've tried eBay, Carandclassic and Classiccarsforsale.

I think they're both smoking something BUT in regards to your car..

Looks to have had lots of work over the years but what happened to the drivers sill? Looks half caved in or repaired wrong in the past? Has it had both quarters done too?

I think your car was sensibly priced and will sell just have to wait for the right buyer.

I think at that price point its a bit of a no mans land. People would be wary of the cost of getting it back to its full glory. you could get a very nice lhd one for not much more.

Agree and sympathise with you.
I think the price of many classic cars is now over inflated, including Zeds.

The evidence is there to see on the internet with big money cars being offered by Dealers sitting around for months on end without selling.

I am surprized your car has had no interest though.

Firstly ,most don't want led and I think your car is sensibly priced and as Matt said to many overpriced cars out there

How do you mean, getting it back to its full glory? All the rust has been repaired, it has new rear arches, great paint, the interior's better than most and it runs fine. What more do you think it needs? And why would someone buy an LHD one for more?

Nothing is 'wrong' with it, just that the cill looks out of line or similar?

Some would pay more for a LHD one as they're selling strongly in europe and with the good ones you know they've not been repaired/or minimal etc.

There nothing wrong with yours bud I like it. price right

My only reason for you struggling to sell your zed is your location is sunny Devon bottom of country bud

I got my latest Zed from Scotland, you have to get up off yer **** and make an effort if you want something

Sean baby you are probably right on your price for a bog standard Z but as we both know mine ain't standard so I probably wouldn't get much more than that in the real world

You'd be surprised - my feeling is that bog-stock Zs aren't attracting premiums for their originalness and that tastefully converted modified Zs are where the money's at !

Kinda Samuri but up to date and with a decent paint-job.

Same thing haha not everyone prepared to travel would you go to top Scotland to buy a car

I did!! And then back again a week later to drive the car home. That was a bog standard diesel Audi not even anything exotic or rare!!! If you really want a car and find it at the right price/condition, you make it work.

(Well to the South of Scotland, but living in Surrey that's pretty much the same thing to me!!)
