RB 240z Conversion

Awesome Dave.

Did you consider having the turbo's creamic coated? I was going to go that route but in the end purchased a turbo blanket for both mine. Would recommend you do one or the other to keep engine bay temps down.

I had my manifold and down pipes Zircoteced, one of the best things I did, you can touch them after a run and not get burnt. If you've already done all this and I've missed it then apologese, there's a lot of pages to go through!

Look forward to seeing her in the flesh.

Both the manifolds and turbo down pipes are heat coated the turbos were so expensive on there own with out the coating looking at turbo blankets.

Big Big Smile driving home.

Exhaust system is now made and fitted at JP Exhausts they have done a fantastic job.

Looks excellent Dave! I can see why you were so excited on the phone earlier! Very nicely tucked up in the tunnel.

I think I really need to get over to JP to get a quote for what I want exhaust-wise so I have a hard figure to work from.

Bit more progress on the car the rear overfenders are now painted and back on the car and I have taken the RB25 propshaft in to be modded to fit the R200 shortnose 200sx diff and that should be ready early doors next week.

Been playing with new project last few weeks but need now to finish off the Z.

Picked up the RB25 propshaft yesterday after it was made smaller in length and a new rear part to match up to the short nose R200 diff.

Fitted last night.

Dave,

Great looking car! Do you not find the compbrake pedal box to have taken up a lot of room in the engine bay when you have fitted the cyclinders?

Scratch that, Ive seen the other pictures now! How does the linkage attach to the brake pedal?

Do you not think it will be difficult to brake without the booster?

Had to make up a linkage that fitted to the brake pedal and the twin master cylinders

Ask me in a few months about the brakes when its on the road !!!!

Picked up the spanners again with the Z 1st job done is inline fuel filters now fitted between the main fuel tank and both lifter pumps.

More progress over the coming Bank Holiday Weekend.

Speed sensor now fitted to the drivers side front hub what a pain to do !!.

Still waiting for the replacement parts to turn up from the oil and water lines and have also ordered 2 new turbo oil return pipes as the front original one touches the housing not allowing the return rubber pipe to be slid on.
