I’ve spoken to Carl and he is having another look later today,he is also looking at another car and will weigh up the pros and cons of each car,The other car is a much better bet by the sounds of it for having fun and as an investment and it’s faster and doesn’t need anything done to it,if he doesn’t have it then I might go for it as I was looking at one a little while ago,
I’ll keep you lot guessing as to Wot car it might be

That’s wot I sed but it could mean instant death by the missus,The Datsun has a bit of an issue where the floor meets the sill
and as we know that can be a nightmare but as none of us have seen it in the flesh we can only speculate but to make it into a good useable car it sounds like it needs at least 10k thrown at it but it is an old Datsun after all and like all 70 s cars they are rust buckets

What exactly do you mean about where the floor meets the sill being a nightmare? Just another rust repair. I'd disagree on the 10k, but then again these days I can do 90% of what needs doing myself, so that maybe colours my opinion.

Personally I think it's great that one way or another it'll be saved from sitting unloved and forgotten.

I’m sure for some the first thought will be ‘how can I flip that and make £x’ ... and there’s nothing that’s wrong with that. I’d like to think that someone might for once unearth one of these rare cars, buy it and restore and use it themselves.

Just an ol’ romantic, me!
