Nissan official restorers 240Z

Just goes to show that all you have to do is buy a LHD import, tart it up a bit and you got a rust free Z that's worth £24,000.

I'm off to check on ebay US.

The question why advertise a LHD 240z on uk ebay is simply because its worth more over here, in the USA only those 240z that nissan restored fetch the kind of money that this 240z is up for, on a personnel note im sure its worth it, a while back one of the 30 (or was it 20 never mind) came up for sale on ebay looked very very nice, if i had a spare $30,000 i would have snapped it up, well enough dreaming must go ive forgot to put the lottery on.

No, they're worth at least that over here where LHD is more at home and the cars are rarer. One was sold last year for €35000, I know of a "race-car' Z that sold for €65000 and I know of another standard car up for sale soon at €26000.

What's keeping the prices low in the UK is the ebay "£2000 easy restoration" bangers. Zs are still seen in the UK as cheapy (in all of the senses) good-lookers in spite of certain individuals trying to valiantly boost the image. It's only by increased prices that the cars will be saved and other models begin to follow the trend.
Face it, would buy a Z31 or 280ZX 2+2 for £3000 when you can buy a project 240Z for less ?

I didn't know that the Z farm were
the official Restorers appointed by Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd
.A bit surprised to see it advertised first on ebay and not Z enthusiast or even car enthusiast sites, Also why a LHD, are there not any unmolested, rust free enough RHD cars available to carry out the 'nut and bolt restorations' on.
Wish I had the money though.
I've seen other Z farm cars advertised for much less how would these restorations be classed?
Also why do the Z farm maintain such a low profile (no doubt known to hardcore S30 fans) but from the ebay ad they could be anyone with a 240Z for sale and making some big claims!

Z Farm restored Nissan's pale yellow 240Z used in shows and displays since 2003 where it was part of the launch promotions for the 350Z. Featured in several magazine articles - one quite recently.
They also restored a Fairlady Roadster for Nissan, although that one rarely sees the light of day it would seem.

MJP (Eastern Auto) are proud to have supplied many of the parts used in both projects, but we don't feel the need to keep reminding people how good we are...
(oops, I just did )

tut tut Mike, there's that trumpet again:bow:

Thing is, for most i've only ever used mjp, as no one else exists. esp to talk to re the part and ask advice

If others want to keep it under the hat then fine by me!

I'm sure in this day n age they can afford to

Of course......it's been modified and I'd have expected to see some little caps in the centre of the wheels, especially at a correct price.
