Was just waiting for the remarks,seems a good buy if someone wants something a bit different,considering all this talk about how much some of you reckon the Zee is worth this car seems a bargain,as for being an estate version like Grolls car can't see nothing wrong with that,some of us haven't got our heads stuck up our own ***** and appreciate the 2-2 and 260 coup,as we know the 260 is 2 mph faster than a 240 ,drives better and is rarer

Paul and Paul - are you not the same person really with the same arguments ?

The value of any Z begins with the condition of the bodywork and chassis.....I can't see any proof either way of the condition of this car so without seeing it - I can't and won't comment.

Ultimately though, I'd have thought that its attraction is limited and obviously the sale was encouraged by the recent sale of Steve Francis' V8 240Z or coincidences have become more common.

Like Christian, I've seen that car in person at Oulton Park when it put in its appearance. It was pretty rough then, so will be rougher now. Needed a lot of cosmetic work courtesy of all that fibreglass - ripples, cracks in paint etc. Engine installation was a bit work-in-progress at the time. Don't think it had the blower either. The owner then was a nice guy. The car attracted a lot of attention - it looked pretty fun and 'out there'. Not that many people would actually want such a thing themselves I think. As Sean points out, the attraction will be limited, especially as most people looking to get into Z ownership seem to be after cars as close to standard as possible.

Weigh that 12k asking price against the vast amount of bodywork and general sorting out it will no doubt need and I'm not sure I'd say it was a bargain. I'd rather have JohnyMd's black 240Z for several grand less.

So why then chose to pass comment if no more than slag off the 2+2 like you have done in the way you have?

The comment because I too had a big doubt about the condition of the car, whatever its seating capacity.

I don't see where I have 'slagged off' 2+2s Paul.

THAT is not slagging off.

You turn hot and cold at a moments' notice Paul - one minute we're having a laugh together, the next I'm your mortel enemy...either the moon has risen or too many pints have sunk.

It was a wind-up - I couldn't care less if it's a 2+2 or a 2 seater or a 240Z - buyer beware.

Go have your hot-toddy, get a good nights rest and I slag you and them off tomorrow.......maybe you'll then know the difference...:cheers:

Well put Richie,thought you wasn't goner comment baldy and grolls estate zed is as good as anything out there,like I said before some people ave their eds stuck up their own rses when it come to the 240 ,I might start up a 260z register and not let 240 persons join,oops forgot,260s are super rare and 2plus2s are like rocking horse manure so won't be many members,apologies for mentioning that word,register
