Mystery wires on ignition switch ?

Does anybody happen to know what the two black wires are on my tatty old 280Z ignition switch ? Appear original and not an ad on and not replicated on the replacement, crosses my mind that the old lock possibly has a built in light?

I'm sure someone else put up a post on this a while ago, not sure it was resolved however.

Those 2 wires and shorted together when the key is in the ignition. It is used to sound a buzzer which is really annoying so I just disconnected it.

Ahhhh that makes sense......everything appeared to work with out connecting. Thanks Johny
