My current 'pet hate' with drivers

I have my C+E license, I'm convinced that some drivers want to know what it's like to be squished under a truck!

I drive a 30t tanker and I am frequently amazed by car drivers who desperately try to get in front of me at the end of a dual carriage way section ( for example ) - they think nothing of cutting in front of the lorry leaving me little or no room to brake in time not to squash them flat :devil:

- I'm usually left taking violent avioding action that leaves me rolling around like Captain Pugwash as the liquid load sloshes around behind me putting me and other people in danger.:(

My pet hate is the skip lorry that didn't stop saturday at the junction to the road i was on ,just pulled straight out causing me to swerve to avoid running straight into it, with bollards in the centre of road couldn't get over far enough .resulting in rear of my Hilux being pushed in what makes it worse only picked it up 2 hours before gutted :(

Derrick :rofl::rofl:

Well I had an incident involving a lorry yesterday - fortunately I wasn't in my Z!
I was teaching a pupil in my Mini. We were sitting correctly in the right lane at traffic lights waiting to turn right when a big tipper truck came speeding up from behind us and as it shot through the lights it passed us so close it tore the nearside mirror off. Pupil Alice at the wheel was a little shaken but fine. I was trying desperately to read the truck's registration number but it was vanishing so fast I only got the first three characters. So I've ended up with a £140 bill which meant I lost all my earnings for the day all because some truck driver was driving too fast and without due care. Annoying but when you consider I cover over 500 miles a week with pupils it is surprising these things don't happen more often I suppose!

I had to replace the worm badges on the rear of my 260 a priority job; as I was startled by how close and how often people were getting to within an inch of my bumper at 50-60mph to read them!! Gulp!
