Monte Carlo Rally

This took place over the weekend but you wouldn't know from tv sports coverage!

A Welshman finished 3rd (by a few seconds) and led most of the rally. Bear in mind that this is a World Championship round!

 
I love the way they slide the rear of the car round while the front is almost stationary, on the tight hairpins! :cool:
 
50 years ago this week, Nissan brought a Works-prepped Z 'test car' for Rauno Aaltonen and a small team of Japanese engineers to drive on the Monte Carlo Rallye route, just a few days after the 1970 event had finished.

Their mission was to gather data and feedback in snow & ice conditions, on the actual Monte roads, in preparation for a Works assault in Zs for the 1971 event:

Hi rob have you any amazing pictures like that one of UEY 504m as of today there is still no spark at the plugs due to an intermittently faulty summit racing mcd we think so Christians standard 240z points dizzy is about to be fitted fingers crossed regards greg
