At last!
At last we shall have two 240Z's out on the same round of the British Historic Rally Championship next weekend!
Both Duncan Pearcey (Z Farm) and ourselves will be competing on the Mid Wales Stages which starts from Newtown on Saturday afternoon.
There are two stages (Hafren North and Sweet Lamb) on Saturday followed by a whole lot more on Sunday. Very good spectating from Sweet Lamb, according to the website www.newtown-mc.co.uk
Duncan is running no 334 and we are 339.
There are 43 Post Historics/Classics (1968 to 1981 cars) and about 18 Historics (pre 1968). Our class C4 is strong as usual althrough there has been no sign of Jimmy McRae since his car (911) caught fire at the end of the Welsh! The other 6 cars in the class are very competitive 911's.
Duncan has journalist Jamie Edwards as co-driver so Z's might get some column inches out of it as long as Duncan behaves himself!
Hope fully Dominic Frattaroli's car will be ready for the Ypres Rally in Belgium on the same weekend, although it will be touch and go, apparently.
I know that you will all be at Billing at the weekend, but wish us well anyway!
