I can't believe that people fit that vinyl in their classic cars - it's at best only good for nursing home chairs and what not - very practical for wiping off the brown stuff !

Vinyl seats ?
Same as S30s back in the day and most standard production cars in the early 70's.
I seem to remember velour became an option on the MG a year or so later

Here's one for you, it's in France already so easy job

she is mainly ok apart from both outer sills need replacing, engine is not running,
front suspension is low but can be remaining or reinflate with hydrolastic pump,
the driver wing is ok, the passenger has a small amount of rust at bottom but not rotten.

the car need to be trailered away as it does not run

That Teal Blue original spec V8 is gorgeous. I saw one at the NEC a few months back for five grand less and it was nowhere near the standard of the blue one (it was overpriced imo) ...
Can't see anything wrong with the seats!
