On the new listing, he cites the reason as because of a time-waster. Evidence would suggest the only time waster is him. Nothing else in the description is altered - still says "original unmolested condition"...

Hi...new to the zclub forum !
I was the next highest bidder on the original auction...so was gutted when I was pip at the final seconds !
When I saw car was relisted again - reached out the seller and asked why bidder let it go...said that the car had been resprayed in red (again) 6 months ago...and that bidder walked away. I'm tempted to rebid again...but whoever bidding now are silly - 3 days still to go - price is almost the same as the last auction ! Likewise worried the sills and door bottoms...

You need to go and see it however in an auction situation that amount of travel to view is a risk I realise. If it's up around £3k now be careful - you need to fully understand what you are buying.

Thanks for the noteworthy advice...will keep a watch for the time being...not least its likely to past the £3k threshold now. Would love to get to see vehicle in person but distance and work make it difficult during the working week. We'll see how it goes...

As rob says, you need to either go and see it or fully understand what you're gonna be getting. The last man walked away for a reason, whatever that may be the seller is unlikely to know the truth

I was being polite to the seller...the car is a shed:eek:; PM me and I can pass you contact details of the man who walked away and lost over £200 in train fares and cancelled insurance cover etc along with a whole Sunday sitting on intercity trains London <> Manchester.

A very expensive lesson learnt " all that glitters is not gold" :smash:
