Light cluster sealant recommendations.

So ok I have taken my 240z rear light clusters apart to replace the chromed strip across the middle. They were stuck together with some sort of sealant in the factory. Has anyone got a recommendation of what sealant to use to put them back together again?

I can look through the screwfix catalogue and come up with any number of possibilities but I was hoping someone might have already gone through this.

I would probably use the type for fixing car screens in. I wouldn't go for any type of silicone as it no good for plastic. Car panel adhesive maybe.

Maybe Tiger Seal?

I'd suggest butyl tape - it's non setting and is used often on cars (e.g. door vapour seals).
