Last Minute Meet up & Drive Out. Sunday 2nd September.

Guys,

Due to the last minute cancellation of Leighton Hall and seeing as the weather forecast is actually quite good for tomorrow I think we should have a meet anyway!!

How about meeting at The Longlands Hotel, which is just the other side of the M6 junction 35 to Leighton.

Say, 11.00 am then they will be open if anyone fancies a coffee or something, then we could head of through Burton in Kendal on the A6070 towards the A65 and head out towards Kirkby Lonsdale. Stop off here in the Market Square maybe or at Devil's Bridge lots of nice pubs in the town for lunch if we want and then either further out on the A65 or perhaps on to the Lister Arms at Malham where some of us went last year.

This has been thrown together and is far from set in stone, but it would be good to get everyone together before the winter descends on us all.

Ok, looks like most folks are still on for this tomorrow. Sod leighton we'll have our own show. :D
 
Look forward to some photos of this. Sorry I couldn't make it - was planning to but then got very delayed in leaving - to the point where I would've been rather late and I didn't have any contact numbers to warn of this. Went out for a little pootle around in the Z locally for a while and am consoling myself now with a spot of interior trim restoration!
 
Only took a couple of pictures, but 6 cars turned up which is pretty good considering the show was cancelled.

Andy and Chris with their son James, Ray and Carol, Brian and Brenda, Dick, Greg, Dave Pat and myself all enjoyed what typically turned out to be one of the sunniest Sundays this summer along with the dearest fish and chips/chicken in the north of England:rolleyes:

I did see Greg's car on the way home but no sign of him anywhere.
