Lancshire and Cheshire meet up!

Met up with Highway Star (as he is known on here), real name Steve, in Uppermill near Oldham today so I could have a look at his nice 1974 green 260Z and compare notes with him.
He is in Lancashire and me in Cheshire so we didn't have far to travel and Uppermill was sort of a halfway point.
Had a nice lunch at an old pub called the Church Inn. Picture of our cars attached.

Good to see Highway's car.

RIDDLER you need to set yourself a target of meeting one member per month.

More or less doing that already I think!
Steve has had his car 25 years apparently. He has had it re-sprayed some time ago in a Ford green very similar to the original Datsun colour. The wheels are lovely original period alloys. And a great number plate!
The dark green and the burgundy are my two favourite colours for this car so it was nice to see them side by side.
Unfortunately it rained while we were in the pub which Steve wasn't too happy about as he does not like to get it wet!

That will be Steve Foster's car ?

If so myself and Mark Warburton went over and did some work on it for him some time ago !

Correct. He mentioned he knew Mark to me after I told him Warbo services and looks after my car for me at his garage in Macclesfield. .

I'm not trying to be funny here, just wondering how you wash your car ?

Well I try not to let it get so dirty that it needs 'washing'!
I use a damp sponge followed by Greased Lightning polish, but it's the spray from the wheels that worries me.
