Found this one waiting for me behind a trim panel - looks like someone's tried to get at the back of the door striker. I'm not even sure where to start with this one - piece from a donor maybe?

I've seen some strange things but that's just nasty. Can't for the life of me think why someone would do that.

Fashion a new metal plate and weld it in as best you can. Replace that trim panel as soon as possible....

I would be careful about welding there, you may do more harm than good.

Replace the panel and think about it.

IF I was to weld it I'd get all the metal back to the original position and butt weld it (tacking first).

I bet someone couldn't get the aerial lead/loom threaded through that quarter panel so used a tin opener to get at it
Sort of thing I might do at work, but then I can cheat
