A short morning qualifying session on a cold and damp day saw Matt run a 1:42:616 only 0.86 of the pace set by Charles Barter
The conditions didn’t let up into the afternoon and had a significant influence on the race.
It wasn’t to be Matt’s day a less than perfect start saw him sitting 2nd overall on lap 2, Matt spun off, got back on track and pulled back to third, took 2nd, dropped back to third and spun off again both times at the difficult Redgate corner. Overall Matt finished 5th with Charles taking 1st.
