What are these Holes for?

i think they are for smog equipment that comes on a lot of the USA zeds.
just block them off it should be fine.

Looks like it might be for EGR if fitted and there looks like a fitting lower down for a Lambda sensor so it definitely is for US smog regs as moggy said. Adrian

if wanted you could put a egt probe on each like prof racers to moniter each cylinder lol i've seen it a couple times
