HELP!!!! Bumper advice required.

You can still get the stainless chromed at some point if you feel the finish is not goo enough after a some use. Then you have a shiny bumper than will never rust.

Help again!!!

So, this time I'm laughing at my naivety for believing in myself! ;) Had a great bit of progress with rear bumper right up until trying to bolt the sides in. As you will see from photos, driver's side bracket is too far forward and passenger side too far back.

The a brackets at the back are as right as they will go and the gap between the car and the bumper is even at the back give or take 3-4mm. I can get an index finger (just) into the gap which scientifically I estimate to be about 15mm

Any thoughts now!? Should I consider "adjusting" the brackets? Have I missed something obvious?

Ps ...

Ian - genius idea!!

Richie - someone at Harrington heard your call, the holes for the rubbers on mine were elongated from factory so no rubber stretching, just a good 5mm of space for adjustment.

Possibly, once I get these ones to stay on! ;)

Do you need some?

OK chaps, just to finish off the thread - finally got the rear on this eve by encouraging the brackets into position. The passenger side one was a real git to bend forwards.

Sadly, despite the copious amounts of masking tape all over the bumper, I did manage to put a light/small scratch on the main rear bit but at least it gives It character and doesn't look like new white trainers ;)

Also, 3/8th tap washers work beautifully as spacers / padding / protection against the body work.

They do look awesome on the car and now show up my silvered rear light surrounds which need to be chromed now. It's never ending!!!!! Next thing you know I'll have to get a respray to not let the bumpers down ;)
